Men’s Golf Tied for Seventh at Outback Intercollegiate

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The Anderson men's golf team is in seventh place following day one of the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate, hosted by Catawba College at The Hombre Golf Club Monday afternoon.

The Trojans are tied with North Georgia and Montevallo with a first-round total 315, three shots behind Southern Wesleyan, which posted an opening round 312. Carson-Newman shot 292 and leads the event by four strokes over Lincoln Memorial heading into Tuesday's final round.

Anderson sophomore Sean Shelton is tied for sixth with a first-round 73, while freshman CJ Messana is three shots further back. Sophomore Arran Setro posted an opening round 82, while junior John Moore notched an 84.
