ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Anderson men's golf team moved up two spots and finished 13th at the Jay Jennison Memorial hosted by Flagler College Tuesday at the par 72, 7,071 yard Palencia Club in St. Augustine.
After Monday's second round was interrupted by thunderstorms, most teams played nearly two complete rounds on Tuesday.
Anderson senior Chase Epting (76-79-74=229) saved his best for last, firing a team-best 13 over par to share the 29th spot, while teammates Arran Setro (79-78-77=234) and Sean Shelton (80-77-77=234) carded 18-overs to garner a share of 47th.
Junior John Moore (82-74-80=236) finished two shots further back in a tied for 56th, while freshman CJ Messana (93-90-76=259) trimmed 14 strokes off his second round score to notch 79th.
The Trojans passed Montevallo and North Georgia on the final day, finishing three shots behind Tampa and Embry-Riddle, which finished in a tie for 12th.
Anderson gets back on the links, Oct. 10-11 at the Southern Wesleyan Invitational.
