Women’s Track and Field Climbs to Fifth in Southeast Region: Men’s Track and Field Squad Stays Steady at Sixth

NEW ORLEANS - On the heels of stellar performances at their final indoor meet of the season, the Anderson University men's indoor track and field team remained sixth in the Southeast Region, while the women's squad climbed one spot to fifth in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, as released on Tuesday.

This week's men's rankings saw just three changes among the top-10, with Limestone and Mount Olive trading spots, as the Saints slipped to second and the UMO Trojans claiming the top spot. Carson-Newman, Queens and Wingate rounded out the top five, with AU sixth. North Greenville, Barton, Mars Hill and UNC Pembroke finished the top-10.

Queens remained atop the women's poll, while Southern Wesleyan, Montevallo, and Wingate occupied the second, third and fourth spots as they did a week ago. The Trojans took over the fifth slot, with UNC Pembroke slipping one spot to sixth. Mount Olive (No. 7) and Clayton State (No. 8) each inched up a spot, with Limestone and Carson-Newman rounding out the top-10.
