ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's tennis fell, 8-1, to South Atlantic Conference co-favorite Tusculum on Thursday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.

With the setback, the Trojans drop to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play while Tusculum moves to 10-0 overall and 2-0 in SAC action.

Tusculum claimed a 3-0 lead after a hard fought doubles round.

The Trojans could not recover in the singles portion only picking up a point at the No. 5 slot. Freshman Cameron Blanchard defeated Africa Mota, 7-6, 6-3.

Anderson remains at home to host SAC opponent Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday. First-serve is slated for 1 p.m.
