Men’s and Women’s Tennis Players Represented in the Oracle/ITA DII Rankings

Tempe, Ariz. – Several Anderson University men's and women's tennis players are represented in the Oracle/ITA DII Rankings, highlighted by junior Laura Dean's No. 46 National Singles Ranking.

Dean finished the 2017 season with an overall 15-7 singles record at the No. 1 position while dominating the two fall matches she played leading into the upcoming 2018 season.

In addition to the national rankings, Dean was slotted No. 10 in the Southeast Region poll in singles play while the doubles team of Dean and junior Jacqueline Olivia landed in the No. 7 slot.

Dean and Olivia closed the fall season out, 2-0, defeating North Greenville, 8-1 and Emmanuel, 8-5.

Men's sophomore Ignacio Bidegain landed in the No. 19 spot in the singles Southeast Region rankings. The native of Buenos Aires, tallied a final 2017 season record of (16-4, 7-3 SAC) on his way to All-SAC First Team honors. Bidegain won his two fall singles matches in convincing fashion over North Greenville and Emmanuel.

About the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings
As the governing body of college tennis, the ITA administers the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings that are designed to track the top men's and women's teams, along with singles and doubles players in NCAA Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, Junior Colleges and California Junior Colleges.

The Trojans will begin their 2018 season on Feb. 2 when they travel to nonconference opponent Southern Wesleyan. First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m.
