HARROGATE, Tenn. –The Anderson women's tennis had its three-match win streak snapped by South Atlantic Conference foe Lincoln Memorial by dropping a 5-4 decision on Wednesday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Complex
With the setback, the Trojans fall to 8-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play while the Railsplitters improve to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in SAC action.
The Black and Gold were down 2-1 following doubles action with the No. 2 flight grabbing the lone point. Ivey Welborn and Victoria Wuilloud defeated Johanna Delisse and Julia Loos, 8-4.
The Trojans battled back pulling with a point at, 4-3, before LMU clinched the match winning the fifth and final point needed.
Anderson host SAC opponent Newberry on Saturday. First-serve is slated for 1 p.m.
