ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Anderson women's golf team carded an opening round total 353 and sits in 15th place following opening-round action Monday afternoon at the 2011 Flagler College Fall Slam at the Marsh Creek Country Club.
Senior Laura Buyers' 13-over par 85 led the Trojans, with the Aledo, Texas, native in a five-way tie for 57th, while fellow senior Kalyn Johnson is three shots further back after firing an 88 and is tied for 69th.
Junior Lindsay Parks posted an 89 on Monday to garner a tie for 74th and newcomer Sarah Timms notched an opening-round 91 and sits in a two-way tie for 84th.
Sophomore Katie Eskew carded a 93 and enters Tuesday's final round tied for 88th.
The players will tee-off on Tuesday at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
