SALISBURY, N.C. - The Anderson women's golf team fired a two-day
total 664, to move up one spot and finished eighth at the 2011
Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College at the
5,998 yard par-72 Salisbury Country Club.
Sophomore Katie Eskew (79-75=154) trimmed four strokes off Monday's
effort to lead the Trojans, finishing alone in 13th and nine shots
off the pace set by N.C. State's Lindsay McGetrick. Senior Kalyn
Johnson (87-82=169) sliced five shots her first-round score to
share 44th, while fellow senior Laura Buyers (84-85=169) carded a
final-round 85 to also tie for 44th.
Freshman Natalie Feder (83-91=174) slipped eight strokes on
Tuesday, posting a 91 and finished in a tie for 55th, while Lindsay
Parks (85-91=176) was two shots further back, tied for 60th.
The Trojans wrap up their fall slate Monday and Tuesday at the Flagler College Fall Slam, in St. Augustine, Fla.
