ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's basketball moved up a notch to No. 9 in the NCAA Southeast Region Women's Basketball poll, released by the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon.
The Trojans won their lone game last week and defeated fellow SAC member Tusculum. SAC foes Wingate, Carson-Newman and Catawba were ranked four and five and seven, respectively.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
Anderson (19-9, 19-5 SAC) finished fourth in regular season play.
The Black and Gold will host the fifth-seeded Saints from Limestone tonight. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm at the Abney Athletic Center.
