Women's Basketball Moves Up a Notch To No. 9 In The Latest D2SIDA Regional Poll

ANDERSON, S.C. –Anderson University women's basketball moved up a notch to No. 9 in the most recent in D2SIDA Regional Basketball poll, released on Monday evening.

The Trojans enjoyed a 2-0 week with road victories over Tusculum and Coker to improve its overall record to 13-8 and 13-4 in South Atlantic Conference play.

Anderson joins three other SAC member schools in the rankings, with Wingate slotted third, Carson-Newman positioned No. 6 and Catawba seventh. Peach Belt Conference members occupy three slots, including the top-spot held by North Georgia. Lander remains No. 2, while Georgia Southwestern State remains eighth. Barton, Mount Olive and Chowan represent Conference Carolinas and are ranked, fourth, fifth and tenth, respectively.  

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its eighth season of existence. During the season, the regional polls are released every Monday (until the NCAA begins releasing its regional polls), followed by the national poll every Tuesday.
