SERIES HISTORY
• Overall Record - Wingate leads 14-8 (1999-2005 and
2011-2015)
• The Trojans and Bulldogs have met 22 times in a series that
dates back to the 1999 season, with Wingate owning a 14-8 advantage
in the overall series. AU has won eight of the last 11
matchups.
• The Bulldogs won the first 11 meetings between the two
programs, including nine straight between 1999 and 2005. The series
then took a five-year hiatus before the Trojans joined the South
Atlantic Conference for the 2011 campaign. Wingate swept the 2011
regular-season series, with Anderson returning the favor in 2012.
The two teams split the 2013 season's series, with WU taking a SAC
tourney victory. AU lost the first game of 2014 regular-season twin
bill, then defeated Wingate on three straight occasions. In 2015,
Anderson swept Wingate to push its wins to five straight over the
Bulldogs.

• Anderson snapped a three game losing streak by defeating
Brevard on the road on Tuesday.
• Sophomore Cailah Niles leads the team in batting with a .415
average, nine doubles, 11 home runs and 47 RBI.
• Sophomore Carli Hurtado is batting .336 with a .438 on base
percentage. Hurtado has also swiped 16 out of 18 bases this
season.
• Junior pitcher Augie Pena (12-4) has struck out 149 batters
this season.
• Junior pitcher Lauren Rudesheim posts a 12-7 overall record
with three saves and a 1.95 ERA.
WINGATE OVERVIEW
• The Bulldogs have won their last six of eight contests,
highlighted by a swept over league leading Catawba to knock the
Indians down to second place.
• Leading the Indians at the plate are Taylor Laskey (.402),
Katie McLaurin (.361) and Mellena Helms (.360) combining for 19
doubles and 21 home runs.
• Pitchers Stacey Houser (17-11) comes in with a 1.59 ERA and
108 strikeouts while opponents are batting just .192 on the
season.
