ANDERSON, S.C. - The Trojans travel to South Atlantic Conference opponent Carson-Newman on Wednesday. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 12 p.m. at the Vickee Kazee Hollifield Softball Complex.

SERIES HISTORY
• Overall Record - Carson-Newman leads 28-9 (2002-2015)
• The Trojans and Eagles have met 37 times on the diamond, with Carson-Newman holding a decisive 28-9 advantage in the overall series. The Eagles claimed 24-of-25 meetings, including 19 straight, during the early 2000s, but the Trojans hold a 7-6 edge since Anderson joined the South Atlantic Conference in 2011.
• The Trojans had won six straight meetings, before being swept at home by the Eagles last season. The Black and Gold bounced back defeating Carson-Newman, 5-3, in last year's SAC Tournament to continue their run to the SAC Championship Game.

• Anderson split with SAC opponent Queens on Saturday.
• Sophomore Cailah Niles is leading the team with a .451 batting average that includes nine doubles, eight home runs and 41 RBI.
• Sophomore Carli Hurtado is batting .336 with one double, two triples while stealing 11 out of 13 bases this season.
• The Trojan pitching staff holds a 1.92 ERA striking out 246 batters while walking 85.

CARSON-NEWMAN OVERVIEW
• The Eagles are led by 31st year head coach Vickee Kazee-Hollifield.
• Leading Carson-Newman at the plate is senior Elayna Siebert with a .393 batting average. Siebert has hit nine doubles, three triples and four home runs on the season.
• Junior Allison Webster (13-7) has pitched 133 and two thirds innings striking out a total of 165 batters while holding the opponents to a .199 batting average.
• The Eagles were picked preseason No. 3 and are currently in third place in the league standings.

• Freshman Madison Bivins is riding a six game hit streak while batting .323 on the year.
• Trojan hurler Augie Pena has recorded double digit strikeouts five times this season.
