Trojan Runners Compete at Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA – Following last weekend's South Atlantic Conference Championships, a half-dozen Trojan runners followed up by competing at the Georgia Tech Invitational, Friday night at the George C. Griffin Track.

Junior Christopher Burton finished 16th in the men's 100 meter dash with a time equal to his SAC championship time of 10.74, while fellow junior Mason Hazel finished 13th in the men's 1,500 meter run in a time of 3:55.81. Senior Ben Boerma was 22nd in a time of 3:59.99.

Junior Haylee Love claimed fifth in the women's 1,500 meter run in a time of 4:33.78, which was nearly six seconds faster than her runner-up performance at the SAC Championships last week. Senior Olivia Gardner claimed 11th place in a time of 4:42.55, while sophomore Abigail Bozarth posted a time of 4:47.62 and finished 19th.

Freshman Jasmine Barmore will start Saturday's events off for the Trojans by competing in the women's 400 meter dash, which is scheduled for 2 p.m.
