CONOVER, N.C. - Led by sophomore John Moore's 36-hole 14-over
par 158, the Anderson men's golf team sits in eighth place
following the first day's action at the 2011 Food Lion South
Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Tournament, hosted by Wingate
University at the par 72, 6,944 yard layout at the Rock Barn Golf
& Spa.
Newberry College leads with a 591 total, followed by Lincoln
Memorial University at 605. Wingate junior Clifford Blanquicet has
the individual lead after the first two rounds.
Following Moore (79-79=158), AU junior Chase Epting (79-80=159) shares 28th, while freshman Aaran Setro (77-84=161) sits two shot further back, tied for 34th.
Freshman Sean Shelton (77-90=167) and freshman Austin Carney (87-80=167) sit tied for 42nd to round out the Trojan team.
The final round will take place Tuesday.
