Men’s Golf 10th at Barefoot at the Beach Intercollegiate

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Anderson University's men's golf team moved up a spot and is tied for 10th after Monday's second round of the Barefoot at the Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State at the 6,817 yard, par 72 Surf Golf and Beach Club.

The Trojans equaled the day's biggest improvement by trimming 15 strokes off Sunday's scorecard, with John Moore (76-71=147) continuing to pace the Anderson squad. He fired a one-under par 71 Monday and shares the 21st spot with three others. Freshman Arran Setro (76-78=154) slipped two shots from Sunday, but still shares 51st, along with teammate Sean Shelton (80-74=154) who shaved six shots from his opening round.

Junior Chase Epting (81-75=156) also trimmed six strokes off Monday's effort and is in a three-way tie for 56th. Freshman Austin Carney (81-78=159) notched a second-round 78 and is tied for 62nd.

The final round of the three-day tournament will be held Tuesday.
