Men’s Golf 11th at Barefoot at the Beach Intercollegiate

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - In a field filled with Division I opponents, Anderson University's men's golf team sits in 11th place following Sunday's opening round of the Barefoot at the Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State at the 6,817 yard, par 72 Surf Golf and Beach Club.

Anderson's John Moore posted a team-leading four-over 76 and shares 35th along with freshman Arran Setro, who also carded an opening-round 76.

Freshman Sean Shelton's eight-over par 80 was good enough for a share of 54th, while junior Chase Epting and freshman Austin Carney each fired an opening-round 81 and are in a six-way tie for 57th.

The second round of the three-day tournament will be held Monday.
