Track Teams Set Five School Records At Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University track and field teams set six school records at the Clemson Relays Mar. 22. The AU women set five school records: -- Katelyn Rodgers finished first in the high jump with a leap of 5-3. -- Kurtina Ricketts finished sixth in the 100 meters (12.55). -- Durecelle Campbell finished eighth in the hammer with a toss of 99-0. -- Thomasena Smith finished third in the long jump with a leap of 17-7. -- The 4 x 400 meter relay team (Chelsea Rogers, Kurtina Ricketts, Lynne Flint, Ashley Blome) finished third with a time of 4:16.77. Other top finishes for the women were: -- Rodgers placed third in the javelin with a toss of 78-5. -- Diana Willard finished sixth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 20:14.73. -- The 4 x 200 relay team (Thomasena Smith, Ashley Blome, Chelsea Rogers, Kurtina Ricketts) finished second with a time of 1:47.79. The AU men set one school record: -- Justin Smith finished eighth in the hammer with a toss of 146-5. Other top finishes for the men were: -- Aaron LaGarde (400 meter hurdles, fifth, 57.12; long jump, fifth, 22-8.50; triple jump, second, 47-5.75) -- Rayon Markland (javelin, seventh, 158-4) -- Jeremy Hunsaker (5,000 meters, seventh, 17:02.94) -- 4 x 1,500 meter relay (Stephen Dickey, Alex Jordan, Nate Parsons, Jason Bryan), fourth, 17:33.61 -- 4 x 800 meter relay (Joe Holzinger, Alex Jordan, Stephen Dickey, Jason Bryan), fourth, 8:29.82
