ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's and women's tennis teams earned a spot in the final ITA rankings, released this week.
The Anderson men's tennis team earned a final ranking of No. 20, while the women's team finished No. 59.
The men's team finished the regular season with a 16-6 overall and 10-2 South Atlantic Conference record. Anderson finished second in the regular season and won its quarterfinal round before falling to Wingate in the SAC Championship semifinal round. The Black and Gold also earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 12 seasons, falling to Flagler in the opening round, 4-0.
After returning to SAC postseason play after a one-year hiatus and posting a 15-9 overall record, the women's tennis team earned a No. 59 final ranking.
Both the men's and women's team will be returning solid squads for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
