DUE WEST, S.C. -Anderson University women's tennis defeated nonconference opponent Erskine, 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon at the Sloan-Cox Courts.

Anderson won the doubles portion to earn the early one-point lead. AU duo Catherine Blouin and Laura Alvarez Tello defeated Emma Bentz and Luize Valtere, 6-4, while Anna Greer and Katie Robeson won over Szilvia Ferenczy and Angelina Jacobs, 6-1.

The Trojans won 5-of-6 singles matches with Catherine Blouin just coming up short at the No. 1 flight. Blouin continues to play solid tennis, despite the disappointment.

Anderson returns to action on Saturday when it travels to nonconference opponent Young Harris. First-serve is set for 2 pm.
