ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University women's tennis fought hard in loss to No. 7 Columbus State falling, 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.

The Trojans gave the Cougars an extremely competitive match, dropping No. 1 doubles 7-6 and No. 2 and No. 3, 6-4.

In singles actions, AU's Cathrine Blouin and Katie Robeson forced three sets, before surrendering the point. AU's Val Borda grabbed a win in the No. sixth position defeating Agostina Bigotti, 6-3, 6-3.

Anderson returns to action on Sunday when it travels to South Atlantic Conference opponent Catawba. First-serve is set for 2 pm.
