No. 18 North Georgia Escapes Valiant Trojan Effort ; 4-3

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Anderson University women's tennis just fell short of its upset bid falling, 4-3, to No. 18 North Georgia on Wednesday afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek.

North Georgia won the doubles portion earning the first point of the match.

Anderson battled hard in the singles portion, winning at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 flights. UNG's Cibeles Zuddy fought off Laura Alvarez Tello 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to win the deciding match for the Nighthawks.

Anderson returns to action on Sunday when it host nonconference opponent Converse. First-serve is set for 2 pm.
