Women’s Basketball Game Notes Released for Tusculum

ANDERSON, S.C. - The game notes for the Anderson University women's basketball team's home contest with South Atlantic Conference opponent Tusculum have been released.

After a much-needed 65-48 victory over South Atlantic Conference opponent Coker on Saturday afternoon, Anderson now has a "win and you are in" scenario ahead of it when it faces Tusculum on Wednesday night at the Abney Athletic Center.

With a win over the Pioneers, the Trojans would clinch their spot in next week's 2014 Food Lion SAC Tournament, moving two games ahead of TC with just one game left for the regular season. Currently, Anderson sits two games ahead of Tusculum, alone in seventh-place, but just one game behind fourth-place as three teams are deadlocked for a possible home game in the SAC Tournament.

Overall, the Trojans are 14-12 with an even 10-10 mark in league play, while Tusculum carries an 8-16 overall record with every win coming in the SAC as it brings in an 8-12 league mark. Despite the record, the Pioneers are 7-2 in their last nine contests, highlighted by a 65-62 win over then-nationally-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday. The Pioneers enter the midweek matchup with a three-game winning streak, matching their longest stretch of the season. At the midway point of the season, Tusculum was 1-14 overall.

Wednesday, the Trojans will honor their lone senior on the roster in sharpshooter Emily Willoughby for senior night.

The game will be broadcast on FOX SPORTS Radio 1280 AM, WANS and will also be available on the internet at www.wrixfm.com and the Anderson web site at www.autrojans.com, along with video and live stats. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
