GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Led by senior Sarah Timms' two-day 23-over-par 167, the Anderson University women's golf team closed out its regular season by finishing 15th at Tusculum's 18th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial Golf Invitational.
The two-day tourney was hosted by the Pioneers at the 5,805-yard, par 72 Link Hills Country Club layout.
Lander (320-307=627) overcame a four-stroke deficit after Monday's opening round to win the team title by six shots over runner-up King (311-322=633) and by 10 strokes over third-place Carson-Newman (318-319=637).
The Trojans (344-358=702) trailed 14th-place Lenoir-Rhyne (338-353=691) by 11 strokes and finished 20 shots in front of Spartanburg Methodist (361-31=722).
Timms finished in a tie for 39th, while senior Natalie Feder (87-81=168) jumped 16 spots to share 43rd. Junior Garyt Hamilton (85-92=177) finished in a tie for 73rd , with junior Arista Setro (91-99=190) wrapped up the event tied for 83rd.
Following a two-week layoff, the Trojans are slated to compete in the South Atlantic Conference Championship, April 12-14 at the Sevierville Country Club in Sevierville, Tenn.
