Women’s Golf Wraps up First Round of Kiawah Island Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Paced by senior Natalie Feder's first-round 11-over-par 83, the Anderson University women's golf team is 15th following opening-round action at Tusculum's Kiawah Island Invitational, hosted at the par 72, 5,800-yard Cougar Point Golf Club layout.

Limestone (298) holds a one-stroke lead over Northwood (299) after the opening round, while Northwood's Elsa Westin (70) is one shot in front of three golfers who share the second spot heading into Sunday's final round.

Feder's opening round effort earned her a share of 52nd, while junior Braiden Furtick is tied for 59th after posting a first-round 84. Senior Sarah Timms and junior Garyt Hamilton each share 67th after carding an 88 on Saturday.

The final round of the tournament is slated for Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m.
