Women’s Golf Finishes 15th at Rendleman Memorial

SALISBURY, N.C. - Paced by junior Garyt Hamilton's two-day 165, the Anderson women's golf team finished 15th at the Patsy Rendleman Memorial, hosted by Catawba at the 6,005 yard, par-72 Country Club of Salisbury.

Converse (305-308=613) led the two-day event wire-to-wire to capture the team title by two strokes over Queens (308-307=615) and by eight shots over Catawba (308-313=621) and West Georgia (310-311=621). Lincoln Memorial (314-310=624) moved from sixth to fifth on the final day, while Newberry (310-321=631) slipped from fourth to sixth. Wingate (317-318=635) finished seventh, with Tusculum (320-324=644) remaining eighth.

Coker (324-322=646) jumped from 11th to ninth, with Pfeiffer (323-327=650) and Erskine (323-329=652) tying for ninth in the 15-team field. North Greenville (334-344=678), Belmont Abbey (349-333=682), Lenoir-Rhyne (344-343=687) and Anderson (339-358=697) rounded out the field.

Converse's Maddisen Cox (73-70=143) vaulted from third after Monday's opening round to claim individual medalist honors, over Pfeiffer's Amanda Floberg (75-72=147), who began the day tied for eighth, and West Georgia's Stephanie Bennett (76-71=147).

Hamilton slipped from sharing 14th to 43rd, while senior Sarah Timms (86-84=170) finished in a tie for 55th. Senior Natalie Feder (87-87=174) finished alone in 63rd, while junior Arista Setro (90-98=188) placed 75th.

The Trojans are scheduled to return to the links on Oct. 27-28 at the Flagler College Fall Slam.
