Women’s Golf 14th Following Day One of Agnes McAmis Memorial

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Paced by junior Katie Eskew and freshman Garyt Hamilton's 11-over-par 83s, the Anderson women's golf team is in 14th place following opening-round action Monday at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, hosted by Tusculum College at the par-72, 5,805 yard Link Hills Country Club.

The host Pioneers and Lander are tied for the team lead in the 17-team event, as each posted a score of 310 on the first day. North Greenville is third after firing a combined 312. Anderson trails Carson-Newman by five strokes and leads Pfeiffer by three shots and Erskine by six.

Eskew and Hamilton share 42nd place, while sophomore Sarah Timms (84) is one shot further back and is tied for 53rd. Sophomore Natalie Feder (89) is tied for 84th.

The two-day tournament wraps up on Tuesday.
