Women’s Golf 14th at Catawba’s Patsy Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. - Sophomore Sarah Timms carded an 83 to lead the Anderson women's golf team, as the Trojans sit in 14th place after opening-round play Monday at Catawba's Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted at the par 72, 5,998 Country Club of Salisbury.

Newberry (294) leads the 16-team field by 14 shots over Tusculum (308). Anderson (340) trails North Greenville by three strokes and leads Coker by nine shots.

Timms' 11-over-par placed her in a four-way tie for 42nd, while junior Katie Eskew fired an opening-round 12-over-par 84 and is in a six-way tie for 46th. Freshman Braiden Furtick carded an 85 and is tied for 52nd, while sophomore Natalie Feder is three shots further back with an 88 and is tied for 65th. Senior Lindsay Parks posted an opening-round 89 and shares 71st.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
