NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Anderson College women's golf team put together its lowest first-round of the fall -- 329 -- and stands in sixth place after the first round of the 12-team Lenior-Rhyne Invitational at the Bay Tree Golf Club Monday. Catawba College and Central Arkansas both shot 312 to share the first-round lead. The two individual leaders both are from Catawba. Paige Haverty and Kristen Kyle both shot 1-under 71 on the par-72, 5,801-yard course. Anderson was led by Kathryn Adkins with a 79. She was followed by Carlie Eastman 81, Janie Wichert 83, and Brandi Jackson 86. The second round will be played Tuesday morning.
