Track & Field Competes at Duke

DURHAM, N.C. - In their final outings prior to the South Atlantic Conference Championships in two weeks, the Trojan track and field teams garnered six top ten finishes at the Duke Invitational Friday and Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Junior Whitney Bishoff captured second in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:05.15, while sophomore Emily Eckroth captured 10th in another section of the event with a time of 19:29.23.

Senior Katelyn Rodgers was 14th in the high jump with a height of 1.60 meters and junior Lauren Sloan continued her impressive season by taking 11th in the shot put at 13.10 meters and 13th in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.13 meters.

The women's 4x100 meter relay earned 13th in a time of 50.04 seconds.

On the men's side, freshman Terrance Jefferson notched eighth in the 200 meter dash by crossing the line in a time of 22.11 seconds.

Sophomore Zach Hart placed ninth in the javelin toss with a distance of 54.32 meters and his height of 4.50 meters in the pole vault was good for 13th.

Freshman Parks Edwards captured second in a section of the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:36.35 and the men's 4x800 meter relay earned sixth in a time of 7:55.55 seconds.
