Men’s Tennis Defeats Mars Hill; 6-1

Mars Hill, N.C. – The Anderson University men's tennis team opened its 2021 season with a road South Atlantic Conference win over opponent Mars Hill, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at Hart Tennis Complex. The Trojans improve to 1-0 overall and 1-0 in conference action, while the Lions drop to 0-2 and 0-1 in SAC play.

"I am very proud of winning on the road this week," said the Director of Tennis Joey Eskridge. "Mars Hill is never an easy place to play because of conditions but we took care of business and got the job done."

"It is always great to get a road win in conference," added Eskridge.

Anderson earned the first point of the match, winning the coveted doubles point. Snow and Wilson won 6-1, while Cruz Moncada and Pudney battled to a 7-5 victory. AU's Kush and Cabo grinded out a 7-6 victory.

The Trojans won five out of the six matches in the singles portion, with Snow losing the only point in a three-set thriller.
