ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson men's tennis team garnered two singles' wins, but it was not enough as 15th-ranked Georgia College outpaced the Trojans, 8-2, Friday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Tennis Courts.
Anderson fell to 8-7 on the season, while Georgia College moved to 14-6.
The Trojans' Stan Atema outlasted GC's Jerome Leborgne 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 at No. 1, while Deni Mehagic defeated Tobias Rausch, 6-4, 7-5, at the No. 3 slot.
Anderson plays host to league-leading Wingate on Monday afternoon, with first place in the conference on the line. The Bulldogs are undefeated on the season, while AU has suffered just one league setback. First-serve is slated for 2 p.m. at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.
