SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Anderson University men's tennis team fell, 9-0, to No. 3 ranked Armstrong Atlantic Sunday afternoon at Bacon Park.

Armstrong Atlantic (2-0) defeated sixth-ranked Rollins College in the morning, then topped the 24th-ranked Trojans (1-1), claiming the six singles matches in straight sets.

Rafael Array and Mikk Irdoja held off Anderson's Daniel Gonzalez and Stan Atema, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles, while Eudaldo Bonet and Daniel Regan defeated Deni Mehagic and Krystof Gulbinovic, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles. Matus Mydla and Pedro Scocuglia downed Loic Ambrose and Trey Halbauer, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles.

Bonet downed Atema, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles while Irdoja defeated Ilya Zakharov, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 singles. Array beat Mehagic, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 3 singles and Regan knocked off Gonzalez, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4 singles.

Mydla claimed a 6-0, 6-1 win over Halbauer at No. 5 singles and Scocuglia got back on the winning track with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ambrose at No. 6 singles.

Anderson will get back on the courts Wednesday at Division I opponent USC Upstate. First-serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
