Men's Soccer Returns Home to Face Limestone

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's soccer team is returning to Spero Financial Field on Wednesday (Sept. 28) to take on the Limestone University Saints in a South Atlantic Conference contest.

Anderson enters Wednesday's match with a 1-5-1 record, coming off a tough 4-3 loss to eighth nationally ranked Lenoir-Rhyne last week. Newcomer Diego Jaramillo has been a bright spot for the Trojans this season, as he is fifth in the SAC with four goals, including a goal and an assist in the loss at LR.

Limestone enters Wednesday's match with a 3-1-3 record while currently riding a three-game winning streak. The Saints upset then ranked No.6 Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory on Sept. 14 by a score of 4-1 and have since defeated Newberry (4-2) and Emory & Henry (7-0).

Before the season, Limestone was picked to finish third in the SAC with midfielder Antonio Ferreira and defender Alexander Render selected to the All-SAC first team. In 2021, the Saints advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, defeating Lenoir-Rhyne 3-2 in double overtime before falling to No.1 seeded Young Harris 2-0.

The action is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Spero Financial Field, with video and live stats available at www.autrojans.com.
