ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's soccer team is getting set to return to Spero Financial Field on Saturday (Oct. 22) as they play host to the Catawba College Indians on senior night.
Anderson currently sits ninth in the South Atlantic Conference standings with nine points and a 2-4-3 conference record, and 4-6-3 overall. The Trojans have won two games in a row, at Erskine (Oct. 15) and at home versus Mars Hill (Oct. 11) who sits above the Trojans in the SAC standings with 13 points.
Catawba enters the match with a record of 8-4-2, coming off a 0-0 draw at home versus Shaw University. Last weekend, the Indians came up short against 11th nationally ranked Carson-Newman by a score of 2-1. For the season, Catawba is 5-3-1 within the SAC which places them fourth in the standings with the conference tournament looming.
The Trojans will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 22) as they host the Catawba College Indians on senior night. Before the action begins, Anderson will honor seniors Martin Carpena, Caleb Daniels, Ben Lemen, Elian Munoz, and Philip Siegwald at halftime of the women's soccer match.
