CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Anderson men's golf team closed out the 10th annual J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate Men's Golf tournament in seventh place after posting a final round 309 Tuesday afternoon at the event hosted by Wingate University at the at the 6,965-yard, Par-72 Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation. As a team the Trojans (322+309=631) trimmed 13 strokes off their opening round score en route to moving up two spots. Ryan Booth (78+75=153) paced the Trojans with a share of sixth place, while Won Jacob Yoon (80+77=157) shaved three shots off Monday's first round and finished in a five-way tie for 16th. Chase Epting (78+82=160) slipped four strokes and wrapped up the two-day event with a share of 29th. Kenny Shockley (86+75=161) made the biggest move of the Trojans, improving 11 strokes and garnering a share of 32nd place. Aaron Acord (93+84=177) also saw an improvement and finished 44th. Anderson concludes its regular season at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate hosted by UNC Pembroke in Elizabethtown, N.C. on April 2-3.
