CLEMMONS, N.C. -- Five teams are within 10 shots of the lead entering Tuesday's final round of the CVAC Men's Tournament at the par-71, 6,800-yard Salem Glen Golf and Country Club course. Belmont Abbey remains in the lead after two rounds. The Crusaders shot 300 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 585, eight shots ahead of Barton. The Bulldogs shot 301 in the second round. Anderson University (298) and Queens University of Charlotte (295) are tied for third place at 594, and Pfeiffer (303) is fifth at 595. Coker is sixth at 606, Limestone is seventh at 607, and Mount Olive and St. Andrews Presbyterian are tied for eighth at 609. There were no scores under 70 in the second round as the wind increased in intensity throughout the afternoon. There were two 1-under 70s in the second round -- Jonathan Burke of Barton and John Kolls of St. Andrews. Burke has the individual lead with one round to play at 139. Two players -- Connor Tomlinson of Belmont Abbey and David Harris of Pfeiffer -- are at 140, and Kolls is at 141. Queens used balance to produce the lowest score in the second round -- 295. The Royals did not have a score above 77. Iain Hall led the Royals with a 71. Anderson had the second-best round Monday -- 298. Ryan Sprayberry led the Trojans with a 71.
