Men's Golf Team Finishes Fifth at St. Andrews

VASS, N.C.-- The men's golf team improved by one shot in the final round but fell to fifth in the final standings of the St. Andrews Invitational. The Trojans shot a total of 639 (320-319) in the 36-hole, nine team tournament. Mount Olive College improved on the first round score by 22 shots to win the St. Andrews Invitational with a final of 614 (318-296). The Trojans were led by Adam Sheriff, who shot 74-77 to finish in a tie for fourth in the individual standings. Anderson's other final round scorers were Kurt Owings 78, Nick Kirby 82, and Ryan Sprayberry 87. Owings (74-77) finish in 13th in the individual standings.
