Trojans Sixth After First Round At LMU

TAZEWELL, Tenn. -- The Anderson University men's golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the 10-team Lincoln Memorial Fall Invitational Monday at the Woodlake Golf Course. Carson-Newman and West Georgia are tied for first place after the first round at 306. Walters State is third at 308, Montevallo and North Greenville are tied for fourth at 309, and Anderson is sixth at 314. Kurt Owings was Anderson's medalist in the first round with a 77. Anderson's other three scores were: Adam Sheriff 78, Nick Kirby 79, and Clay Williamson 80. John Hanson of West Georgia is the individual leader after the first round with an even-par 72. The second round will be played Tuesday morning.
