ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University head men's basketball coach Jeff Brookman has announced that the Trojans have signed prep standout Tevin Heath to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Black and Gold.
"Tevin is a versatile guard/forward with great length and above-the-rim athleticism," said Brookman. "His ability to attack off the bounce and play multiple positions will be a huge asset to our team. I am excited about getting the chance to work with Tevin. He is a great addition to our roster and our university."
Heath, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound guard/forward, averaged 12.5 points and nearly seven rebounds per game as a senior for former Trojan forward Maurice Jones' (1996-2001) Phillip O. Berry Academy Cardinals.
Heath earned all-conference honors and was named Slam Dunk Champion at the Carolina Hoopfest CabCo Senior Showcase in Concord N.C. last March. He was an all-state nominee and a featured "Top 60" player in the Tar Heel State, while being named to the Moody Invitational All-Tournament Team last Christmas.
Heath joins fellow signees Christian Jeffords (Conway, S.C.) and Chance Prandy (Aiken, S.C.).
