Men’s Hoops at Brevard to be Televised Locally

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson men's basketball South Atlantic Conference contest at Brevard on Wednesday will be televised locally by WMYA My40, with tip-off from the Tar Heel State slated for 7 p.m.

Trojan fans should be able to catch the action on Charter Cable Channel 5 or Dish Channel 8180 in the Anderson area.

Anderson (6-18, 4-14 SAC) halted a 10-game skid with a 74-72 win over Catawba last Saturday and is looking for a late-season push to claim a berth in next month's conference tournament. The Tornados are 4-20 overall and have a 3-15 mark in league action after dropping five of their last six decisions. Brevard is also in contention for the final spot in the eight-team postseason tournament.

Freshman guard Randall Shaw leads the Trojans and ranks fifth in the league with his 19.6 points per game average, while sophomore running mate Maurice Howard is netting 12.0 points per contest and handing out a team high 3.2 assists a game. Sophomore Tre' Fields adds 9.5 points per contest and junior Rakish Taylor has posted seven double-doubles on the season and is averaging nearly a double-double with nine points and a team-leading 8.8 rebounds.

The Trojans are looking to sweep the season series with BC after knocking off the Tornados, 65-58, in early January at the Abney Athletic Center.
