ANDERSON, S.C. - On the heels of the most successful season in school history, Anderson head men's basketball coach Jason Taylor has announced the addition of four standouts to the team, beginning with the 2011-12 campaign.

Myson Jones, Chandler Hash, Myles Daniel and CJ Gleaton will join Jo'el Lamb as the most recent additions to Taylor's team, which claimed the school's first-ever Southeast Regional title in mid-March.

Jones, a 5-foot-11 guard, averaged 12.1 points and 5.4 assists per game while serving as team captain for coach Tony Harrell's Fighting Green Hornets last season. He helped lead Aiken High School to a 24-3 season and an appearance in the state Class 5AAAA playoffs for the first time in four seasons. Jones was named the three-point champion at both the 16th Annual 100 Black Men of Augusta Thanksgiving Basketball Classic in 2009 and last season's Farm Bureau Insurance Tournament.

As a senior, Jones connected on 52-of-133 (39.1 percent) 3-point attempts, while earning All-Region Class 5AAAA honors. He was also named Second-Team All-Area by the Augusta Chronicle. He received the USCA Scholar Award and two leadership awards (West Point Award and RYLA Award), while serving as editor of the Hornet Herald school newspaper).

Hash is 6-foot 170-pound guard who averaged 2.8 points per game as a freshman at USC Upstate last season, while seeing action in 21 contests. He scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds in his first career start against Auburn and posted a career-high 12 points at North Carolina State on the strength of four-for-five shooting from beyond the arc. He was rated 74th by ESPN.com/Scouts Inc. as a major/mid-major prospect following his senior campaign at Greer High School.

He had a breakout season in leading Greer to a 25-1 overall record and a Region III-3A championship as a senior in 2009-10, while ranking eighth in scoring in the state at 24.2 points per game. He was named the region player of the year and was an all-state and all-region selection and finished his senior season with 630 points to lead all area scorers, while averaging 5.5 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game.

"I am very excited to welcome Myson and Chandler to our program," said Taylor. "Both are great fits for our basketball program and for our University. I love Myson's competitive spirit. He will add toughness to our team and give us another very good guard that can do multiple things.

Chandler is a great addition to our program. He is a very skilled offensive player that can really score the basketball. Chandler played for one of the Upstate's best high school coaches in Coach Neely and spent a season playing for one of the Upstate's best college coaches in Coach Payne. I expect him to come in ready to contribute immediately. Both players come to us having been coached and used to winning."

Daniel, who helped lead Wade Hampton to its first-ever undefeated season (29-0) and a AAA state championship as the starting point guard, averaged 10 points and six assists a game last season. A three-year letterwinner, Daniel served as team captain and was voted Most Valuable Player for the Pepsi Holiday Invitational Christmas Tournament.

He earned the team's Leadership Award following his junior season year and was named a South Carolina High School Report All-State player, while also playing in the FCA All-Star game.

"Myles is a true point guard and a winner," added Taylor. "He is one of the better passing high school point guards I have seen in a long time. He is another signee that played for a very good coach in Coach Nance at Wade Hampton. Myles is a great fit for Anderson University. He is going to have a great career on and off the court for AU."

At 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Gleaton is a wing who played two seasons at Spartanburg Methodist. He averaged 8.5 points and four rebounds at Spartanburg Methodist last season, while earning the Men's Basketball Athletic Achievement Award at SMC Awards Day for overall performance on and off the court.

"Being from Pendleton, I am excited that CJ chose to come back to Anderson to continue his career as a basketball player," noted Taylor. "And get his degree from Anderson University. He is a versatile player that is a great fit for the way we like to play. He can guard multiple positions and offensively he can play almost anywhere for us in our system. CJ is going to have a great two years with the Trojans.

Lamb, who enrolled at AU last December, will be a senior next year after playing three seasons at Charleston Southern. The 6-foot-7 195 pound forward averaged 2.2 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11 appearances with CSU before transferring. As a sophomore in 2009-10, Lamb tied for fourth on the team with 10 blocks as a sophomore for the Bucs and tied his season high with eight points versus High Point in mid-January. A native of Atlanta, he played in all 29 games as a freshman, while starting 13 contests. Lamb led the team in blocks with 28 and was 10th in the Big South and posted double-figures in six games, including a pair of double-doubles.

He was a Rivals.com 3-Star recruit after playing his prep hoops at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy for then-coach Courtney Brooks. Lamb averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior, helping guide SACA to a 23-8 overall record.

"Jo'el has already made a positive impact on our program," concluded Taylor. "He's had a great spring semester on and off the court. Jo'el is a great fit for Anderson University. He is going to have an outstanding senior season. He is a very athletic player that can guard multiple positions and his offensive skill set improves each day. He has a great work ethic and is a joy to coach. Like our other signees, Jo'el has already played for really good basketball coaches in high school (Courtney Brooks at Southwest Atlanta Christian) and college (Barclay Radebaugh at Charleston Southern).
