ANDERSON, S.C. - In response to inquiries from fans, Anderson University has announced that if there is enough interest the University will provide motor coach transportation to Springfield, Mass., so fans can cheer on the Southeast Regional Champion Trojans in the Elite Eight tournament.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
• Leave campus Tuesday, the 22nd, around 4 p.m.
• Stop for the night at a hotel about halfway to
Springfield.
• Leave Wednesday morning, March 23rd in time to arrive for
the 6 p.m. game.
• Head back to Anderson immediately after the Trojans win the
national championship (or bow out of the tournament).
• The travel home would be spread over two days. Depending
upon the team's success, arrive in Anderson either late Thursday
afternoon, Friday afternoon or midday Sunday. (Travel time is
approximately 15 hours.)
The charge for transportation will only be $25 per fan. Fans, however, will be responsible for all food, lodging and tickets.
We need to have sufficient participation to justify taking the
motor coach, so please email John Kunst at jkunst@andersonuniversity.edu
to reserve a seat. The final determination will be made Monday
afternoon at 4 p.m.
