ROCK HILL, S.C. – Following a stellar outing on the mound in the first game of last Saturday's doubleheader, junior Will Gee has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

The Blackville, S.C. native tossed a gem in his first appearance on the mound for the Trojans, as the right-hander's performance propelled AU to a 2-0 shutout over King in the opener.

Gee limited the Tornado to just three hits – all singles – in seven full innings of work, while allowing just one runner to reach scoring position. He struck out eight batters and walked just one.
