GREENVILLE, Tenn. -- The Anderson women's golf team is in fifth place following opening round action Monday afternoon at the 13th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial Women's Golf Invitational, hosted by Tusculum College at the 5,832-yard, par 72 Link Hills Country Club. Heading into Tuesday's final round, the Trojans sit just one stroke behind fourth-place Queens and two shots behind Belmont Abbey, which is in the third spot. Hayley Parks (77) trimmed five strokes off her front nine and is in a seven-way tie for 13th along with teammate Kalyn Johnson (77), who was consistent throughout the opening day. Senior Sophie Dembroski is one stroke back of her teammates after carding an opening-round 78 to grab a share of 20th, while Laura Buyers (79) is tied for 25th and Lindsay Parks (89) is in 71st.
