PENDLETON, S.C. -- The Anderson women's golf team sits in seventh place following the first day of action at the Boscobel Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford at the Boscobel Golf & Country Club. The Trojans trail Mercer's "B" squad by nine strokes and Presbyterian by 12, while leading USC Upstate by a shot heading into tomorrow's second and final round. Senior Sophie Dembroski and sophomore Kalyn Johnson each carded an opening-round nine-over par 81 and share the 17th spot. Freshman Lindsay Parks posted an 85 to sit in 32nd, while fellow sophomore Laura Buyers shares 34th with her 87 on the afternoon. Sophomore Anna Jenks shot a 97 to sit in in 40th . The tournament's final 18 holes will be played Sunday.
