Trojans Earn NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Bid

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's basketball was one of the 64 teams that will compete in the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship, released by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee Sunday (March 10).

The Trojans were among five South Atlantic Conference schools chosen to fill the Southeast Region bracket.

Catawba (23-5) earns the No. 1 seed and will host the opening three rounds. The SAC Regular Season Champions will face No. 8 UNC Pembroke (23-7) in the first round of play.

Carson-Newman (22-9) earns the No. 2 seed in the region after advancing to the SAC Women's Basketball Tournament final. The Eagles will face No. 7 Augusta (22-8).

Wingate (22-9) earns the No. 3 seed in the region after capturing the 2024 SAC Women's Basketball Tournament title and collecting an automatic bid. The Bulldogs will face fellow SAC member No. 6 Anderson (21-8).

Lenoir-Rhyne (22-8) earns the No. 4 seed in the region, and will face No. 5 Georgia Southwestern (25-3) in the first round.

Eight eight-team regionals will be played at on-campus sites on March 15-16 and 18. The eight regional champions advancing to the Women's Elite Eight will be seeded by the Women's Basketball Committee and will head to St. Joseph, Missouri to decide a national champion.
