ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University forward Diamond McDowell has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third consecutive week of the 2023-34 season, the Conference released today.
McDowell, a junior from Asheboro, N.C., scored a career-high 30 points in Saturday's victory over Southern Wesleyan. She recorded her third double-double of the season, ripping down 13 rebounds. The 6-1 forward shot 100% (4-4) from the foul line and 57.1% (12-21) from the field, including 50% (2-4) from behind the arc. McDowell also dished out five assists and was credited with four steals.
