ANDERSON, S.C. –Anderson women's basketball forward Diamond McDowell has been named the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performances.

McDowell, a junior from Asheboro, N.C., averaged 19.5 points, 12 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots while shooting 53.1% from the floor, including 50% from behind the arc to help Anderson defeat Young Harris and Emmanuel and remain undefeated on the season (4-0).

The Trojans return to action on Saturday when they host nonconference opponent Southern Wesleyan. Tip-Off is slated for 2 pm.
