FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. -- Caitlin Bryan hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning and Heather Vaughn hit a solo shot in the fifth to lead Emmanuel to a 4-1 victory over Anderson University in the second game and a sweep of a non-conference doubleheader Monday afternoon. In the first game, Emmanuel got an RBI single from Laura Certain in the seventh to pull out a 6-5 victory. Anderson, 19-21 overall, has lost five straight and seven of its last eight. Anderson outhit Emmanuel, 10-8 in the first game. Kayla Thrasher had two home runs and a double and Meredith Knox had two doubles and one RBI for the Lady Trojans. Emmanuel had two homers in the first game -- a solo homer by Vaughn in the first and a two-run homer by Shanna Gibbs in the sixth. Kayla Williams had an RBI single to bring home Anderson's lone run of the second game. Anderson closes out the regular season at home Tuesday afternoon with a doubleheader against Southern Wesleyan.
