Softball Team Pounds Claflin

ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Anderson University hit four home runs in the second game on its way to a 21-0 victory and a sweep of Claflin in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. In the first game, Anderson jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning and rolled to a 15-7 victory. Melissa Carmichael had a triple and drove in two runs in the first game. Anderson finished the first game with 11 hits. In the second game, Elisa Sebastyan, Kayla Thrasher, Lora Daniel, and Ellen Steele all hit home runs. Steele and Meredith Knox drove in three runs apiece for Anderson. Mickie Brown had two triples and Knox and Kasey King both had one triple apiece. In its last four games, Anderson has outscored the opposition, 72-7. The sweep improves Anderson to 4-6.
